About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

marriage visa but now divorced

American friend got married was given one year marriage visa. His wife divorced him 3 months later does his marriage visa still apply or is it cancelled? Against my advice he has been working teaching English also against the rules. What can he do?

Well his visa is valid anyway but once its expired he cannot take again this type of visa .

He'd better go to the local immigration office under the public security bureau as soon as possible to explain his situation to the officers there, and then he may be given some practical help. The longer he delays, the worse his condition will become.
