About:Chinese Embassy in India

Can I apply for a Chinese work visa if I'm traveling outside my home country?

Hello, I plan on visiting India soon and may want to work in China winter 2013 after leaving India. I am an American. Can I apply for a Chinese work visa in India as an American citizen? If so, where would I go? To the American Embassy in India? This is important, so I eagerly await your reply. Thank you very much, Holly.

To apply China visa in India, the original and a copy of your permanent residence or work permit in India is required, unless you are free of visa/permit to work or live there. The visa application should be handed into Chinese consulate in India. Note that you need to submit application to CVASC if your residence is under consuler jurisdiction of embassy in New Delhi and consulate and Mumbai.
