About:China Travel Tips

Does formal for a man mean suit and tie or would trousers and shirt and tie be aceptable

i'm traveling to china on atour with my 16 year od son as formal dress would he wear suit long sleeved shirt and tie or would trousers long sleeved shirt and tie be acceptable he does have a suit only obviously i don't want to pack something if it's not needed

I think a set of suit with a long sleeved shirt and tie is formal and better than others.
