About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Can I get a Visa to Hong Kong and come back to China Mainland

Here is the situation, I am in Mainland China for a training course of 06 months with a Visa F, which I already made the extension for these 06 months. Right now I need to travel to Hong Kong to complete 02 days of training/course in Chinese University of Hong Kong and then return to Beijing to complete the 06 months of the main training. The problem is the Following, I am from Panama and Chinese has an especial relationship with panama, there is no official embassy, instead there are commercial official offices in each country that make the job as consulate. By that reason I need a visa to enter to Hong Kong. The question is as follow: CAn I get a visa to hong kong if I am in China with a Visa F 01 entry? WHere to get it if so? And the second most important question, can I return back to China from hong Kong with the same visa o should a make a new visa in beijing or in hong kong? Sounds a little complicated, but for specials situations between these countries more difficult are the tramits. Thanks very much... Really appreciatte your help...

You can apply for a Hk visa from the Immigration Division Hk SAR in Beijing at 71, Di'anmen Xidajie, Xicheng District, Beijing. You can't re-enter China from Hk with the same visa if your present visa is one entry only. You may apply for a new China visa from the visa office of PRC in Hk on 7th Floor, Lower Block, China Resources Building, No.26, Harbor Road, Wanchai.

Dear Carl,

Thank you for your answer, I have the exact same issue. Can you tell me how long it takes in Beijing to make the visa to Hong Kong? And in Hong Kong for the visa back to china? What papers do I need? I'm sorry, it's very difficult to find any information... And you seem to have good answers! Thanks again!

It may take about few weeks if approval from HK is necessary. To apply for a China visa in HK is easy and it can be done within 4 working days (2-3 days if go through express service) from the office. However, keep in mind that you may asked to provide personal Hong Kong Identity Card if you want to apply there. Anyway, F visa requires invitation letter from China, other basic documents needed are your passport, application form V2011A and V2011B, photo.

Hello, Thanks for the good information. I have another big problem the training course in hong kong is in two weeks. I have been reading and probably takes from 4 to 6 weeks to the approval of the visa. Why so long time? I can not wait four weeks for the visa, because the training course will be canceled? Is there any special or express way to arrange this problem from beijing, Thanks...

Sorry, it takes time because the application need to be approved by HK Immigration Department. I am afraid there is no special or express way to arrange this in Beijing.
