About:Visa Policy of China

Tourist visa or Z visa

I am wondering what to do about a visa application to teach english. The school have told me to get tourist visa and then have its converted when I arrive in china. I am planning on having a one way ticket. So I don't know whether to have a tourist visa or get a Z visa on this side. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

In order to apply for a Z visa to China, documents like work permit is required from China. If your school employer has not handled it for you, you can only apply for a tourist visa instead. The tourist visa can be changed into a work visa in China as your school told you.
