How many days can one stay in China upon losing passport?

My passport was snatched alongside my bag in China. All the necessary reports have been made to the Singapore consulate & the Chinese public security department. I will be getting my exit visa in 6 days. My original 15 day automatic visa ends 7 days later. With this exit visa & the report of passport lost (which indicated that one has up to 30 days to get a temporal one way travel document out from China). Does this mean that I can now stay in China beyond the original 15days? Thank you.
