About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

i am married to a chinese girl in shenyang ,must i apply the family visa in shenyang only?

if i travel to other provinces,can i apply at the psb there? is it compulsory to apply at her hometown only?
i am on a one year multiple entry visa at the moment.thanks

You can only apply at her residing place, namely your marriage registration place.

the psb officer mentioned about bank deposit at a local bank, is this compulsory?or just
the marriage certificate will do?

the psb officer say a minimum deposit of 20k yuan deposit at a local bank is necessary if
any visa extension is to be granted, is this true? in china ,money is everything!

Well mike there is nothing like that you can apply in shenyang and if she is working in shenyang then you only can apply in shenyang . I am married to my chinese wife too but my wife is not from shanghai but she has resident ID in Shanghai so this is very important to the exit & entry department and you have to register in your shenyang police area too its a big procedure I have done this and next time when I apply again I dont want to do nothing because all my records are in there computers .
