china visa photo size??

hi . i am going to china in august. i filled out visa application which states attach passport pic.. i went to studio to get pic taken only 2 be told a larger size photo is required as china requirements had changed 7 weeks ago .. i cant afford to have visa sent back as i am posting it and i will run out of time..  what size pic is required?

Really, I have not heard of this new requirement for photo size. It always be fine if you attach a recently-taken passport photo to China visa application form.
