Applying China visa from japan for non-japanese

I am Thai. I live in Tokyo and have a working visa here.
I plan to go visit my friend in Beijing in August.
I would like to know;

1. All Documents needed for visa application
2. A time needed for visa application at the embassy; since I am working I prefer to have the earlist morning application to get back to work asap
3. Is it possible If I assign some representative to apply a visa for me?
what kind of documents I need in extra?

Thank you very much in advance

1.You need the following documents:
(1) A valid passport with enough blank pages;
(2) Certificate of alien registration;
(3) Visa Application Form (V2011A and V2011B)
(4) One recently taken, bareheaded, full-faced photo;
(5) A Chinese hotel reservation certificate and a two-way air ticket.

2. Regularly submitting the required documents won't take you too much time. Normally visa may be picked up on the fourth working day since the date of the application. You can ask express service by paying extra fee. The rush fee is ¥3000 for the next-day and the third-day pick-up.

3. With your letter of entrustment, someong can apply a visa on your behalf. With the receipt, visa can be picked up in person or by him.
