About:Embassy & Consulates of Malaysia in China

how long in advance I can apply for a tourist visa to Malaysia?

I am a Chinese citizen and live in China. I am planning a trip to Malaysia on 18th Dec 2012, and would like to prepare my visa as early as I could, please let me know when is the earliest I could hand in my application.

Also, could I send my application through an agent or I must attend in person?

What documents do I need for the application?

How long the process takes?

Hi, the best applying time is a month earlier the departure time, so you can apply in August.

You can apply through an agent. You need not to attend in person except for the possible interview.

The documents needed are as the following:
1.A signed, dated Visa Application Form;
2.Provide one recent photograph;
3.Provide passport or travel document, which must be valid more than six (6) months and has at least one page free in the visa pages for the insertion of a vignette; and
4.Pay the visa fee of RMB 80.

The processing time 3 to 5 working days, and if you request rush service, you can get the visa on the same day.
