Transit Visa required for short stay in Guangzhou

I fly into Guangzhou at 16.30 on 19 June but don't leave until 23.35 on 20 June.

That's up to 28 hours in Guangzhou.

I'd like to leave the airport for a hotel and look around.

What sort of visa do I need? Is a transit visa OK?

You can apply for either a tourist visa or a transit visa.

I am afraid not. It is really difficult for any to get visa on arrival in Guangzhou, so you had better apply one in advance.
