voa to shenzhen on 17 august 2012

Question

I am indonesian,i have planning to traveling to shenzhen on 17 august 2012. I just want to make sure I can use VoA from Hongkong to shenzhen because last year (august 2011) my friend can't use VoA beacuse of big event at shenzhen (international sport event).Please give me information about this matter,because I booked hotel at shenzhen,so if can't use VoA I will issued visa from my country,thank you

If you have never been to China before, it would be difficult to get visa on arrival in Shenzhen. If you stay in HK for a few days, you can apply a Chinese visa there through the Office of the Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of P.R.C. in HKASAR.
