Police Clearance for Work Permit

I am South African and living in Dubai. I just got a job offer in Guangzhou and I am highly enthused to move there.

One of the main requirements for obtaining a work permit is a Police Clearance Certificate. I had this done for the purpose of being employed in Dubai in late 2007.

I wanted to know if the same Police Clearance Certificate that was issued to me in late 2007 for employment in Dubai, can be used for the application of a work permit in China in 2012?

The issue is that it takes a minimum of 28 working days to issue this Certificate in South Africa, and time is just not a luxury right now.

I would appreciate any feedback on this!

Etienne

Sorry, Police Certificate should be within 6 months after issuance. The one you got in 2007 can not be used to apply for a China work visa.
