Notarizing/authenticating a Malawian birth certificate

I am moving to Qingdao, China, in August with my two children. I will be teaching at Qingdao Amerasia International School. QAIS is applying for a Foreign Expert Certificate Visa on my behalf. They have requested a number of documents. They need my children's birth certificates to first be notarized or authenticated by the Chinese embassy here in Canada. My daughter was born in Malawi, and is a citizen of both Malawi and Canada. Her birth certificate is Malawian. When I submit the birth certificates for authentication, do I also need to submit her Canadian Citizenship Certificate as well, or just her Malawian birth certificate?

Also, I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is a great distance from Ottawa. I am simply unable to travel there in person. Is there any way I can have the birth certificates delivered for notarization, without being there in person? Please advise.

For the legalization of document application, personal identification, i.e. valid passport or citizenship certificate is required. So, just take her Canadian Citizenship certificate along with her Malawian Birth Certificate. Applicant need to submit application to the Embassy of China in Ottawa in person.
