About:Top 8 Reasons Why Your China Visa Gets Rejected
Further info on transit visas from Chinese consulate, Melbourne
Further to my query earlier, I spoke to the booking agent who advised me to check with the Chinese consulate. This was their advice:
"Customers who transit in 2 cities in mainland China on one way to another country shall apply a transit visa.
But, if you only transit in 1 city, please refer to the following statement:
(4) Foreigners who have confirmed onward tickets and seats on international flights and directly transit through China and stay for no more than 24 hours within the airport boundaries shall not need to apply for a transit visa.
I will reply to them to update their visa FAQs. If this is the rule they should be clearer about it on their website info.
Thanks anyway Melissa.
