About:Marriage Registration in China

Further formalities following marriage in china

I am a british citizen and married my chinese wife in august of 2019. We have the standard marriage certificates and a notarized document in chinese and english that officially declares our maritakl status but my wife insists that I need to contact the british authorities in China to "register" our marriage.
Everytime I ask for advice from the british embassies I receive the same answer "our marriage is legally recognised by british law". However, this is not my question and does not satisfy my wifes query.
Is there some formality that I have missed or should be completing? I am at a loss to understand what I an=m required to do an want to avoid any further conflict between us because of a misunderstanding on my part.

Dear, actually you can have your marriage certificate notarized by a notary public in China and then have it authenticated by the UK embassy in China so as to register your marriage in UK.
