Cost of living in Wuhu

I am going to stay in the city for 6 months and want home stay accomodation. Nothing flash just clean comfortable and good food.
I will be working. What is an approximate weekly cost?
I am an Aussie and I like my beer, what are the local beers like and their cost??
What type of gifts should I bring to China?

Hi, dear, it is really hard to estimate the living cost weekly for you. It mainly depends on your life style, including your favorate for apartment, food, shopping, entertainment and others. I just know Qingdao Beer, Snowflake Beer, Jiudu Beer, etc. The price varies much. You can bring some local products to China.

I visited it several times already for work, and can tell you it's quite cheap to maintain a "clean living" there. Beer ranges from a few RMB to 10X higher if imported or if consumed in club/restaurant. Food and basic amenidies costs nothing as compared to same items in Australia, so unless you plan to be out lavishly every night and partying all weekend long; you probably wont even exceed 500Auzzie a month on basic living costs. Rent for a local residence should run around few thousand RMB per month for a furnished apartment.
