Mulitple entry one reay Visa for American Citizens

I'm an American Citizen living in Bangkok Thailand for the past eight years. I have two consecutive, 6 month, multiple entry visas and I would like to receive a one year multiple Entry (L) Chinese Visa. Is this possible and if so, do Ineed to provide any additional documents?

Thank you

1.Yes, it is possible to get a Mutiple Entry China Visa;
2.But according to your purpose to China, different documents are required.So to better answer your question, could you please tell me what's your purpose of visiting China? Which type are your previous muti-entry visas(L or F)?
