About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Get a Chinese Visa

I'm an Italian student for a short time joining an exchange student programm in Japan. So i've just the visitor permission. I'd like to go to China, in the middle of June. At first i understood there's no problem to get a Chinese visa in Osaka. Now, i'm blaming on myself to haven't done it in Europe before leaving.

it seems now that it's very hard adventure!
I don't know how to do. The embassy's and Consulates' web sites are only in Japanese and Chinese language. Explanations are different from every web sites... I went to some travel agency to ask and they looked at me as I was an alien... One girl, may be taking a pity on me, at the end gave me a brochure...
It's an agency who's helping people to write correct the documents... They are asking 10,000 Yen just to help... But any way this agency is in Osaka...

I'm studying in Kochi, and even if it's not far from Osaka... transports take a lot of time to get. In my university i've strict abtendence, and also i'd prefer to not spend so much money if it's possible...

Someone could help me, or give me some advice how i should do?
Thank you very much

I guess you go to China for tourism, right? If you don't want to pay so much to the travel agency, you may just go to the China Consulate in Osaka to apply for the China visa in person from 9:00 am to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday (except Chinese and Japanese holidays).
The supporting documents are:
a. A valid passport with enough blank pages.
b.Certificate of alien registration (to the aliens who have the visa with the period of more than half a year in Japan)
c. One recently taken, bareheaded, full-faced photo.
d. hotel reservation certificate and a two-way air ticket

That's right, you need to get China tourist visa first, then, Tibet Entry permit. The landing permission is ok for China visa application and also ok by boat from Korea to China. But if you want to get out from China overland to Kathmandu, you'd better check out that if you need visa to Nepal. BTW, if you don't want to do application in person, you can entrust someone else (your friend I mean) to do it on your behalf in Osaka.
