About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

I would like to visit china, i am holding afghani passport with UAE Resident Visa.

hi, i would like to visit china, i am holding afghani passport with UAE Resident Visa and living in dubai.
i read the requirement section and i was confused with the invitation letter, because it was saying " if needed by consular", please let me know do i really need to have an invitation letter?

If you go to China for sightseeing visiting, no invitation will be needed; if for family visiting, the invitation letter will be required.
