About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Luggage check / health check

I am flying Amsterdam-Beijing-Guangzhou-Auckland. I stop over in Beijing for two hours, then continue to Guangzhou. After six hours, I fly to Auckland. I will not leave the airport. If I check in my luggage in Amsterdam through to Auckland, do I:

1) Collect my baggage in Beijing or Guangzhou?
2) Go through the Health inspection?
3) Go through the Customs inspection?
4) Go through the Frontier inspection?

It would be very helpful if you could tell me the steps I have to go through, from arriving in Guangzhou, to leaving, taking into consideration my stay at the Guangzhou Airport Transit hotel. This is my first time travelling through China.

I am a New Zealander.

Thank you,

For an international transit, you usually do not need to collect your baggage and go through customs. However you case is that you have a domestic flight between Beijing and Guangzhou, so you would be better to check it with your airline. They will definitely tell you the situation. Good luck.
