'Z' visa for spouse requirements

Beside the marriage certificate, she needs an original Visa Notification issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (like what you need to apply for your Z visa at the begining), copies of your residence permit, blue foreign expert book, and your passport information page. From her side, A truly and completely filled application form affixed with one passport-size photo, passport with blank pages and at least 6 months validity left before expiration.
BTW, she would better prepare a Physical Examination Certificate for Foreign Citizen.

Many thanks for your reply. I’m just a bit confused though as to what an, “original Visa Notification issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs” means. The procedure for obtaining my ‘Z’ visa was so complicated and the company I work for did all the paperwork; I simply did the legwork to HK clutching a whole sheaf of signed paperwork. How would you suggest I get this ‘Visa notification’? Would the company do it for me and wouldn’t a letter of introduction and acceptance from the company suffice? I look forward to any further comments and suggestions you may have.

You should ask your company in China to get the original Visa Notification issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for you.
