About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

Can I apply for a tourist visa by mail or courier or not?

I just read that in order to apply for a tourist visa remotely you need to nominate a friend or your travel agency. I saw one reference in a previous question about sending documents by mail. Otherwise, does the travel agency need to deliver the documents personally. I live quite far from any consular office

Since New Zealand has the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in New Zealand and Consulate-General of P.R.China in Auckland, each of them has its own consular district and different mail or not policy. So could you please tell where do you reside?
