airport express to kowloon royal pacific hotel and towers

i havent tried the airport express yet. it will be my first time when we go to HK next week. so if we take the airport express, we get off at the kowloon station, and from there, we take the free shuttle bus? will it drop us to the hotel itself (royal pacific hotel and towers)? also, is taking the airport express as simple as taking the MTR? or is there like a check-in counter where we have to get our seats and everything? thank you. would really appreciate your help.
