Excluding the time for forwarding the application and dispatching the prepared passport, the processing time of your overseas passport application will normally take about 4 to 6 weeks upon receipt of all necessary documents, fee and photograph, if you have a valid Hong Kong permanent identity card,; it will take about 6 to 8 weeks for processing a HKSAR Passport application if you do not have a valid Hong Kong permanent identity card.
