I'm afraid you can only apply for a China tourist visa to stay in China for 30 to 180 days. You will not be permitted to stay in China for so long time just because of your marriage with a Chinese.

You can't apply for a China visa with a duration of 2-year just because that you get married with a Chinese unless you find a job in China and your sign a 2-year employment contract with your Chinese employer. You may just go to China with the China L visa, and you can stay in China for 1-2 years or even longer through applying for extension of stay continously at the local public security bureau.

I don't think it will be hard to apply for the extension of stay for you. Just provide all of the necessary documents well!

Suresh sorry for late reply I was busy details to get family L visa I suggest you to call or go to the Chinese embassy in Dubai personal with your wife and get the information's as I got mine from Sri lanka i was very easy filled up the application form and of course a request letter from my wife even though she is with me its better to give to the embassy and her ID copy and saying that she is working in china so there is no problem with money and you mus show your bank statements too all it depends how the embassy says they are friendly even you wife can ask hem in Chinese . My wife did and even the officer came outside to talk with her . and why did you get the sinhales marriage i did it in sinhales but they itself translated to English and you must certify it from sri lanka foreign ministry because its not from dubai its from sri lanka and when you in china you can translate it for Chinese much better
