About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

multiple entry or single entry

we're canadians (2 adult and child 6 years) who will be travelling to the Philippines via Beijing. we'll be in Beijin 4 nights to sightsee and shop, then fly to Manila. then fly back from Manila to Beijing (only for a stop-over) en route to canada. i should clarify that our tickets will be YVR/PEK return and PEK/MNL return (we're using points for the YVR/PEK return portion of our trip and buying tx for the PEK/MNL return portion).
will we need multiple entry visas?

May I know how long will you stop in Beijing en route back to canada? Will you exit the airport?

re: mult vs single entry Cdns to Beijing
we will not be staying in Beijing on our way home to Canada unless our flight gets delayed. it is just a few hours depending on the flight connections with Air China (we could be flying PAL or Cebu Pacific from Manila to Beijing - not yet sure)

If so, I think a siingle entyr China visa will be enough for you.
