do my customers need a visa while in transit to australia ?

Hi I have some customers who all hold british citizen passports they are going to Melbourne but will be going via Bejing and Shanghai both outbound and inbound . The layovers are no more than 5 hrs . Will they need to get A visa ?

If they won't leave the airport, no visa will be required. To tell the truth, they don't have enough time to go out of the airport to visit the city of Beijing and Shanghai during such a short stop, sinc ethey need time for the transit as well.
