About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

I am attending a workshop at Hong Kong Polytec Univ, HK on 10-12 April. How can I apply for visa?

Does the visa application form to Hong Kong same as that of China?
What are the documents required to apply for visa?

1. Passport: Check your passport beforehand; Make sure that it has at least 6 month validity and at least 2 blank pages.
2. Properly completed visa application form with one recent passport-size color photograph. Please note incomplete application is not acceptable.
3. Copy of the passport face page and the previous HK visa
4. Sponsor letter from Hong Kong
5. your company covering letter (The company address, contact number and the detailed visiting purpose should be correctly and clearly stated.)
6. your bank statement (latest month)
7. round-trip air tickets
8. invitation letter issued byHong Kong Polytec University to confirm your attendance
