I have a double entry visa for China and will be using both entries. Does Hong Kong count?

I have a double entry visa for China and will be using both entries. I will be staying in Guangzhou and want to do a day trip to Hong Kong. Does this count as one of my entries when I go back into mainland China?

Yes, even a few minutes exit from mainland China to HK or Macau is regarded as an exit from mainland China.
