About:Chinese Embassy in Nepal

double entry visa, traveling on land

Dear Sirs,
I am a Czech republic citizen and I've been travelling Asia for the last seven months. After trekking in Nepal I would love to see China and I'd like to ask you for advise how to manage with the tourist visa. The plan is following :
From Kathmandu I'd like to travel by bus to Lhassa and then continune to the east. From Shanghaj I'd like to visit Japan for 14 days and then travel back home to Europe - on land. So, across China again to Pakistan, Iran and so on..
Is it possible to apply for that kind of visa which allows me to leave for Japan and then enter China again to get to Pakistan ? I am not planning to use any airplane during my travels because I am convinced about its harming pollution and so on. To get to Pakistan I will use land transport again.
Can you please inform me, wheater it is possible to make it this way ?
Is it possible to apply in Kathmandu?

Thank you, Kindest Regards

Trip from Kathmandu to Lhassa by bus: you are advised to apply for a China visa in davance, since the locla China travel company needs your China visa and passport copies to handle the Tibet Travel Permit before the tour starts.
You can apply for a double entry China visa, so you can leave China and enter China with it once more. It may be a hard and long trip for you if you travel by land transport all the way, but I think it is possible if you have had a detailed plan about the long trip.

For the China visa, you may just apply one from the China emabssy or consualte in your country for the application of the Tibet Travel Permit. Any person who plans to enter Tibet from Kathmandu, his/her China visa applied in advance will be cancelled in Kathmandu, and he/she has to apply for a new China visa with his/her the Tibet Travel Permit from the China Embassy in Katmandu.

To Steve :

Thanks, but I am in India now...so no chance for applying in my country.
Second... I don`t want any travel agency, I travel by my own. Is it possible anyway?

I see the flight ticket as a problem..maybe.

I can stay in Nepal couple of days, waiting for it.. no problem.

Can I get the double entry visa and the travel permit in Kathmandu?
Thanks,Michael

Then you can apply for a China visa from the China Embassy or consulate in India. Individual travelers are not allowed to enter Tibet. It's poddible for you to get the double entry visa and Tibet travel permit in Kathmandu.
