About:Hong Kong Visa Application

do I need a double entry China visa if I plan to visit Hong Kong whiloe I am touring china?

I am a UK citizen so I dont need a visa for HK; I am unsure whether arriving in Beijing to stay for a few nights, then visiting HK for a couple of days then returning to Beijing will require me to have a double entry visa.

it's true that you need a double entry visa, the first entry is to enter Beijing, the second entry to return to Beijing from Hong Kong. Hong Kong and Mainland China apply different exit and enter controls. You go to Hong Kong, which means that you exit Mainland China.
