About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Earliest time to Apply for tourist (L) Visa

Hi. If I'm leaving by mid Oct 2012 for Beijing, when would be the earliest time to apply?Can I apply 2 months before departure date?

I'm holding a Philippine Passport but previously issued L Visa though we had it processed via a travel agent.

You'd better apply for the visa around one month in advance. If you have China visa on your passport, it will be easier for you to apply for another visa again.
