canadian passport expied in november 15,2012

hi,  I am planning to go on trip on April 20,2012. come back on May 10,2012. and my canadian passport will be expied in November 15,2012. I try to save money, do I need to apply for new passpoprt?

You don't need to apply for a new passport now, when you apply for China visa, a passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required, if you submit visa application in March, your passport still has at least 7 months validity. It is ok for you to travel to China.
