re train guangzhou to shenzhen

Question

I see there are 2 stations Guangzhou and Guangzhou East. Are they far apart? We will be coming into the city from the airport or can we take the rail from the airport to one of the stations

Guangzhou station and Guangzhou east station are located at different district, which is about 8km away from each other. From airport, you can take subway line 3 directly to Guangzhou east station, where you could take a bullet train to Shenzhen.
