About:China Visa

HK born UK citizen work 12 years in China. How can my Belgium husband stay longer w/ me?

I've run my own charity organisation registered in HKSAR in 2000 and started investing in various type of NGO projects in Southeast Prefecture, Guizhou Province until now.

In 2008 I also invested millions in a sole ownership of a registered Youth Hostel contained within same compound. Now we're planning to get married this year & want to know what is the best type of "VISA" he'd get so he could help me out in both our NGO & Youth Hostel business when he retires in near future?

Our organisation has invested (both from my own inheritance & overseas donations) over tens of millions yen & since 2004 received numerous national awards and certifications on our outstanding achievements towards public social services. Could this be taken as "contributions" towards China?

Being a HK citizen, I've been permitted to buy properties, vehicles, own bank accounts etc., just as the locals since 2000.

Much appreciated~!~

Where will you husband stay with you, Hong Kong or Mainland China? Do you mean you want to get a long-term residence permit of Mainland China for your husband?

Yes, my Belgium husband will stay w/ me in China to work alongside our NGO & Youth Hostel business. Ideal is to get a Permanent Residence Permit for him. But since I'm holding a British Passport and China doesn't recognise dual citizenship, this method seems hopeless! Besides, he hasn't live in China for 9 months/year in past 5 years! Perhaps a "Business Visa" or "Temporary Residence Permit" on renenwable status is more realistic, don't you think so? But on the other hand, I'll get him a HKID meanwhile.

Yes, a temporary residence permit or business visa is ok for him to stay in China. Good Luck!
