My Z visa will expire soon can i apply to convert it for F visa here in Beijing

I had a Zvisa and working here in China continously for almost 20 years now in the Automotive Business in the position of After Sales Manager. My Z visa will expire in a week and since I do not have a new sponsor yet, can I apply for F or L VISA here in Beijing in order for me to stay more longer here in China
