Yes, you still need a visa to enter Shenzhen for one day. It is possible for you to get a 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival at the port of LO WU, huanggang, shekou or Fuyong.

We tried to get Chinese Visa at the Lo Wu port but was told to return to HK last year. It seems that visa processing at the port is only for HK residents or in cases of Emergency only. Since it is too late for you to apply for a Chinese visa at the Chinese embassy in the Phil., you can try to ask a HK travel agency to process a Guangdong group visa if you are a party of at least 3 persons.
