Chinese Visa application in Calgary by post

China consulate in Calgary doesn't accept visa application by post, if you can't come to the consulate in person, you can entrust someone else (visa agency. travel agency or friends) to submit application on your behalf.

Can you tell me the purpose of coming to China? Then I can tell you the requirements.

I am going to Beijing to visit friends plus tourism . What is cost of my Visa? Consulate website not very clear . Purolator is not Post. It is a courier. Is that not acceptable ? Thank you John

It costs CA$ 50 for single entry tourist visa, the application by a courier is not accepted, either.

You need a tourist visa to go to Beijing for visit your friend and sightseeing, From December 12, 2011, all the applicants who apply for Chinese tourist visa should submit the following application documents:

1. Completed Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China
2. Passport valid at least for 6 months, a recent 2x2 passport-size photo
3. Invitation letter from a Chinese unit or an individual, you can ask your friend in Beijing to send you an invitation letter with the copy of his passport and Chinese residence permit, if he is a Chinese national, just send you an invitation letter with the copy of his Chinese national ID card.
4. If without invitation letters, applicants should submit the itinerary, airticket and hotel reservation etc.
