About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Can my Chinese-born, American citizen parents apply for a multiple entry 2 year visa?

My parents usually go to China about 3 months every year on a tourist visa. Can they apply for a 2 year visa, so they don't have to re-apply for a visa every year? They usually just stay in China and don't leave the country.

The rule is that an U.S. Citizen who was of Chinese origin and born in China and had obtained L visa at least twice in the past two years may apply for a multiple-entry L visa valid for two years.
