UK citizen applying for Chinese visa in Georgia

I am a UK citizen and my partner is Irish. We are planning to travel overland to China. Can we apply for our Chinese visa from the embassy in Tbilisi?

Citizens of foreign countries can only apply for Single-entry 30 day tourist visa with an official invitation from China at China Embassy in Georgia. Also they MUST have the temporary living certificate of Georgia.
