About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

Processing inland PR.

I'm Korean citizen.
My in-land PR is still processing.
I have a valid Work Permit and passport.
I got a job offer from China.
Can I apply Z visa at Vancouver.
If so, what is requirment for my wife and kids?
Do they need to submit separate applications?

You can apply Z visa in Vancouver if you hold a valid Canadian work permit. Non-Canadian applicants should provide permanent resident card or work/ student visa of Canada. If you don't hold a valid Canadian work permit, your inland PR is in processing, you can't provide document to prove your legal status in Canada, your application will be denied.

Can you tell me the nationality of your wife and kids? Where do they live now? Where do they want to apply for China visa?

Thank you Lily.
My wife is Korean and my kids are both canadian.
They live Vancouver with me.
I'll apply them with my application, but I don't see how I include them in my application.

Accompanying family dependents of personnel working in China should provide an invitation letter of a duly authorized unit issued by the authorized Chinese unit and proof of kinship, e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc., and a copy of the Z-visa as well as Residence Permit.

Now, you has not obtained a China Z visa and residence permit of China, you can't get an invitation letter of a duly authorized unit for them, your wife and children can't apply dependent visa now.

If you really want your family to come to China with you, your family can apply for China visa together. Besides your application, please include the following documents:

Your wife's Korean passport remaining to be valid for at least 18 months from the date of application with at least 2 blank visa pages if the period of stay in China is more than one year;
Your wife's Canadian residence permit (original and copy);
you wife needs to fill in visa application form V.2011A and V.2011B;
your wife's one passport photo
the marriage certificate (original and copy)
Your children' Canadian passports
you or your wife fill in visa application form V.2011A for the children
children's passport photos (one photo per child)
the birth certificates (original and copy)
