About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

How long is the visa valid for from the date of issuance?

I will be travelling throughout Southeast Asia for 6 months before entering China. I am concerned that if I apply before I leave, it will no longer be valid by the time I get to China.

A single entry visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance, it's true that the visa obtained in Canada will expire if you travel in Southest Asia for 6 months before entering China.
