About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

In what format do I need to pay for the HK passport fees?

For the Application Fee For persons aged 16 or above (valid for 10 years)
•32 pages – HK$370 (or US$48)
•48 pages – HK$460 (or US$59)

Can I just pay with credit card at the Embassy office or do I need to prepare a bankdraft?

What is the difference between 32 pages and 48 pages?

How many photos do I need to prepare?

Also, what other documents do I need to bring with me in order to apply for the HK passport?

How long does it take to get my HK passport and HK Smart ID card?

You should submit your application with a completed fee payment form (ID 853) and a cheque or bank draft made payable to 'The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region' in Hong Kong dollars or US dollars. You can't pay with a credit card at the embassy office.

the passport with 48 pages has more blank visa pages and other pages

You need to prepare 3 passport photos

It takes 4- 6 weeks for processing.
