Philippine nationals who desire to go to HK for transit, tourism or business with a stay exceeding 14 days will need to apply for Visa.

1. Passport/travel document with blank pages and a validity of at least 6 months.

2. One completed application form affixed with one passport-sized photo.

3. Philippine nationals who desire to stay in HK for more than 14 days, shall present an invitation letter in which the sponsor agrees to provide financial support and accommodation, and one copy of the sponsor's HK ID.

How to apply

Applicants may submit the application to the Consular office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Philippines in person or through an authorized travel agency. Applicants may also make the application directly to HK Immigration Department.

Processing time

The regular processing time is 4 working days. Express services are available for next-working-day and third-working-day release. Applications requiring HK Immigration Department assessment need more processing time.

Visa fee

1600 pesos.

For express service, additional 1700 pesos or 1100 pesos will be charged respectively for the next or the third-working-day release. For applications requiring HK Immigration Department assessment, additional 1350 pesos of facsimile fee will be charged.

If you won't want to buy the return tickets so ealier, you can provide anything else who can be recognized as proof of your leaving time from Hk. The proof of adequate funds for your duration in Hk without working is necessary. There is no specific amount for the maximum amount in the applicant's bank account by the HK government. You may contact the Immigration Department by enquiry hotline at (852) 2824 6111 or by fax at (852) 2877 7711 to get the exact answer.
