About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I have a UK passport and 30 day tourist visa for Thailand. I would like to visit China as tourist.

Can I apply for a visa at the Embassy in Bangkok? If so please advise cost and time needed for application.

You can apply for a China tourist visa (L visa) at the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok. It costs 1,100 Bahts for single entry visa, it takes 4 working days for regular service. Generally speaking, it is easy for UK nationals to get a single entry L visa in Bangkok.
