1. Besides her present passport, photos, fees and her birth certificate, the residence permit of P.R.C (original and copy) and a completed APS2 form are also required.

The APS2 form is individually bar-coded and cannot be downloaded from the internet. To receive an APS2 form, applicant should call to the Irish Embassy in Beijing in person or should send an email to dfa.ie|beijing requesting that a form be sent to their address. The APS2 form will be sent by courier at a cost of 20yuan, which the applicant must pay on receipt.

Applicants should fill in the APS2 form using block capitals and black ink. There are 9 sections on the form. The explanatory notes which accompany the form are very useful and should be read before completing the form. Once you have completed your application, please take note of the 11 digit number on the barcode. This is your tracking number which you can use to track the progress of your application on www.passport.ie

It costs RMB 765 for Standard 10 year Passport (available to persons aged 18-64), it takes at least four weeks because the passports are produced centrally.

Fees for Passport applications lodged in Beijing may be paid in cash, by Chinese postal order, by bank draft or by completing the credit card details on the application form.

Please carry the exact change if you intend to pay by cash.

Postal orders should be made out to: 爱尔兰使馆 (The Embassy). The applicants name and date of birth should be written in the comments at the bottom of the postal order.

Bank drafts must be made out to: Department of Foreign Affairs. The applicants name and date of birth should be written on the back of the bank draft.

The Embassy cannot accept Personal Euro Cheques.

Courier fees:

Applicants should include cost of Courier fees for the return of their new passport. This is a standard 20yuan by EMS.
