If you don't have an invitation letter, please apply for a tourist visa (L visa) rather than a business visa (F visa).

The required documents are:
1. Your Sri Lanka passport valid for at least 6 months and has at least 2 blank visa pages
2. completed visa application form V.2011A and V.2011B
3. one passport photo
4. the Japanese Alien Registration Card (original and copy)
5. round-trip flight tickets and hotel booking in China
