I think you can just spend the half day at the Bund and Huangpu River. You may just take Shanghai Subway line 10 to Nanjing Road first, and then walk to the Bund area. It takes less than 10 minutes by subway from Hailun Rd. station near your hotel to East nanjing Road station by subway. From East nanjing Road stationto the Bund, it only takes around 10 minutes. The shops and attractions around Nanjing road are all within walking distance. If you have time, you can also go to visit Yuyuan garden which is only one stop away from East nanjing Road station bu subway line 10.
