Is it possible for a Belgian citizen to renew his/her Belgian passport in China?

I am a Belgian citizen currently working in China and holding a temporary residence permit. I am running out of empty pages in my Belgian passport and will need a new one soon.
Is it possible to obtain a new Belgian passport from the Belgium Embassy or a Belgium consulate in China ?
